EZY Teaching

I have been a teacher for over ten years. Teaching is a passion for me and I love it. Although I do not currently teach, the lessons of my past as well as my new ideas long to be taught.

I am very much a facilitator in my classroom. I am not a "Stand and Deliver" type teacher. In my experience, learning is best when children take ownership and understand why they need the skills that they are working on. Of course, I study my standards, create lesson ideas with particular directions and learning outcomes. However, my students learn from the experience of the lesson. They are allowed and encouraged to extend their learning and take the lesson to new places as long as their research and evidence are valid.

I am currently a stay at home mom taking care of my family. I have one daughter, one son, and have been married for 22 years. I recently took off work as a teacher because of personal reasons. I taught for 10 years prior to this time. I love living and am blessed immensely! Every breath is another chance to try harder!
