Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on clear structure, scaffolding, and active student engagement. I believe students learn best when lessons include a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, discussion, and hands-on activities. In my classroom I prioritize: -Guided notes and visual supports -Think-pair-share discussions -Error analysis and reasoning tasks -Scaffolded practice that builds confidence I design my resources to help students move from concrete understanding to abstract thinking, while ensuring all learners feel supported.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of the most rewarding moments in my classroom are when students who previously felt discouraged or intimidated by math begin to see themselves as confident and capable learners. Watching students gain confidence, explain their reasoning and support one another in solving problems reminds me why I love teaching.

My own education history

-Bachelors Degree in Mathematics -Masters Degree in Special Education/Students with Disabilities Certified in NYS: Mathematics 5-12 Students with Disabilities 7-12 My training and experience focuses on supporting diverse learners and creating instructional materials that make complex concepts more accessible for all students.
