Guided Reading Strategies Rubrics CCSS Grades 1-5
With help from the Sister’s CAFÉ system, these are reading strategies put into rubric format to take the guess work out of tracking progress and internalize student learning. This unit includes all of the comprehension, accuracy, fluency, and expanding vocabulary strategies that children need to be successful readers. I made these rubrics in order to visually track my students’ progress not only in whole group, but in small groups as well.

Experience

Teaching style
I would describe my teaching style as energetic and young-at-heart. My motto is if you are having fun then they are having fun. My goal in teaching is to create life-long learners by intertwining all subjects together, rather than making good readers or mathematicians.

I received my bachelors in Special Education from the University of Florida and I received my masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Florida.
Additional biographical information
My favorite children's book author is Mo Willems. In my spare time, I love to read books, shop, watch movies, go to DIsney, watch the Gators play, and paint.
