Hey there!
My name is Tara, and I'm the creator of Fantastic FCS! I'm passionate about creating engaging resources that make learning fun and engaging, while also helping my fellow teachers SAVE TIME! I started teaching Family Consumer Sciences and advising my FCCLA chapter in 2020 during the pandemic and opened my shop at the suggestion of some fellow teachers when they saw the time and detail I was putting into creating resources for my 10... yes TEN preps!!
Whether you're a teacher, homeschooler, or parent, there's something here for everyone! Family Consumer Sciences education opens doors for students to grow through real-world, applicable skills. One of my favorite parts of FCS is seeing my students succeed, no matter how big or small.
I enjoy helping other teachers almost as much as I like teaching my students. I not only have the opportunity to help all of the awesome educators through my TPT storefront, but I also serve on the board of directors for the the Missouri Educators of Family Consumer Sciences (MoEFCS). I also help lead the mentor/protege program for 1st and 2nd year FCS teachers in the state of Missouri. Although I've only been teaching since 2020, I have a HUGE passion for FCS education, student growth, and teacher success.
