Students will pick a famous person to do a short research project about. Once the students complete the research portion of the project they are going to make a paper doll that looks like the person they researched! Included in this download is an outline of what the students will need to put into each paragraph, a rubric for the report, an explanation of what to do to make the doll, a rubric for the doll, and an outline to cut out of the doll.

Are you looking for a fun way to have everyone get to know each other? For this activity the students will find 3 different items at home to tell about themselves. They will bring the items in to share with the class and then do a writing assignment about those items. This is a great combination of a fun activity the kids love to do and a way to do an easy writing project at the beginning of the year!
