I have been teaching third grade since 2005. I just moved to 5th grade to teach Math, Science, and Social Studies. I am very passionate about instructional technology. I have my Master of Science degree in Education degree, specializing in Integrating Technology in the Classroom. I have completed all of my coursework for my Doctorate of Education, specializing in educational technology, but I am currently taking a break from my Capstone project.

After reading "A Chair For My Mother" and/or watching the Reading Rainbow video, I use this packet for students to "buy" a chair for someone special.
Students roll dice with a partner to earn money each week, then add up their total earnings until they reach enough to purchase their chair.
