About the store
I have been teaching high school Family and Consumer Sciences for 6 years! I specialize in the Fashion and Interior Design Pathway. However, courses I have taught and loved include: -Culinary Arts 1 -Early Lifespan Development -FACS Essentials -Fashion and Interior Design 1 -Fashion and Interior Design 2 -Fashion and Interior Design 3 -Foods and Nutrition -Middle to Late Lifespan Development -Money Skills I also am a teacher advisor for FCCLA and run a student based enterprise for custom apparel, alterations, heat press, vinyl, and embroidery. I have served and been recognized at the state level for my involvement in curriculum design, test writing, and other accomplishments. Family and Consumer Sciences is in my veins!

This assignment is a great way for students to analyze the impacts of color in clothing and on personal style. Students have to sample different garments and compare how they contrast or blend with their skin tone, hair, eyes, etc. This is a great assignment that can be completed virtually or modified for in person learning. Great accompaniment to learning about the elements of design.

Teaching style

My teaching style is student centered and hands on. I love to create project based assessments where students can get excited, engaged, and explore learning. I enjoy creative, unforgettable lessons for my students where they put their learning into practice and demonstrate their knowledge through creative and critical thinking skills. I also enjoy the aesthetics of a well designed worksheet, presentation, and/or project.
