Social and emotional learning (SEL) enhances students’ capacity to integrate skills, attitudes, and behaviors to deal effectively and ethically with daily tasks and challenges. This poster highlights an important part of Social Emotional Learning - Just Me Thinking vs. Thinking as a Part of the Group. Goes hand and hand with many SEL curriculum lessons.
2022 Update! Now includes two scaffolded writing activities with worksheets. Children often draw pictures of themselves, along with friends and family. Self portraits are actually a key part of learning and personal development, so provide the paper, pencils and opportunity for your child to have a go. Add some Art History learning with this lesson plan and have students develop a critical thinking skill of self-awareness through art.
