Teaching style
Fidgets and Fluency is a huge advocate for Science of Reading, phonemic awareness, print exposure to rich literature, read alouds, hands-on practice, and blending prewriting activities into other subject areas throughout the day. Though no longer traditionally supported, F&F supports memorization of words and repetition for some students, because F&F recognize/ that Science of Reading is too broken down for some students.

My own education history
Fidgets and Fluency completed some masters work in Curriculum and Instruction and holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. F&F is certified to teach in the state of Pennsylvania Elementary Grades PK-4 and Special Education Grades PK-12. F&F currently stepping away from teaching to work with children in other avenues while leaving more time to do what I love outside of education. She still substitutes as well.
