Experience

Hi there! I'm a 5th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher from Louisiana with a passion for helping students love learning.

Teaching style

Think of my classroom as a cozy little universe where everyone belongs, awkward dance moves are welcome and learning sneaks up on you when you least expect it. My teaching style is laid back but intentional. I believe in meeting kids where they are and helping them grow into who they’re meant to be. I'm all about building relationships first, because once we trust each other, the real magic starts. Whether it’s cracking a joke, celebrating tiny wins, or giving students the space to be unapologetically themselves, I’m here for it. My goal? To help every kid come out of their shell and realize they were awesome all along.

My own education history

I hold a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which means I love blending creativity with standards-based strategies.
