Teaching style
I find that students learn better and work harder when they have a good relationship with their teacher. I accomplish that by using humor and animation whenever possible. I also do my best to celebrate small wins with my students.
Most of my success in the classroom is because I keep my lessons short, offer small group support, and follow regular classroom procedures. This means students know what to expect and they know they will always get the support they need to be successful.

I am a mom of 3 children and have been married to my best friend since 1994! We live in a rural community in the Shenandoah valley and enjoy hiking, playing games and going to the beach. I love teaching. It is a hard job, but most days it doesn't feel like a job because I enjoy it so much.
