These Any Day Math Activities: Counting Pretzel Sticks offer students a fun and hands-on way to practice basic counting, one:one correspondence, modeling addition problems, and simple addition using pretzel sticks. You can also a set of tweezers or small tongs to your center to mix in some fine motor skills practice!

Hands On Math Activities--"Number Sense Addition Flipstrips"
These Hands-On Math Activities, the "Number Sense Addition Filpstrips" reinforce beginning addition skills. In this activity, students work through addition problems by attaching the "missing" number (or addend) to each flipstrip. Students record their answers on a flipstrip recording sheet as they work.
Flipstrips can be used as a math center or as an individual task at a student workstation. Once each set is printed and assembled, it can be used over and over again.

Hey Everybody!
I'm Natalie. My background is in Special Education and I've worked with students with many different STRENGTHS and a wide range of ABILITIES. I'm currently teaching in a Pre-K/ECSE co-teach classroom. I create a variety of hands-on activities that keep students actively engaged in learning, provide visual structure, are easily adaptable for differentiation, and give students lots of opportunities for practice! Most of my activities are designed for early learners, students in special education, students with autism, and students receiving speech therapy. But these activities are also appropriate for many preschoolers, young elementary school students and English language learners. I've always believed that learning should be FUN! When students are actively engaged and having FUN, the learning follows!
