This vocabulary organizer is a research-based strategy to support higher retention of vocabulary terms. The model comes from the book Learning in the Fast Lane, by Suzy Pepper Rollins. Based on the idea of creating a visual organizer that uses Terms, Definitions, and a Picture for each word, I have created multiple TIP sheets for my students' use.
