Teaching style

My teaching style is: 🌱 Visual & Concrete I believe children learn best when they can see and touch math. That’s why I turn numbers into finger patterns, puzzles, and colorful activities. 🧘‍♀️ Stress-Free & Encouraging No pressure. No fear. Just exploration, effort, and "aha!" moments. I focus on growth mindset — praising thinking, not just answers. 🎨 Creative & Playful Math doesn’t have to be serious! I blend logic with art, storytelling, and fun characters (like "Finger Friends" with hats and glasses!) to keep kids engaged. 🔄 Scaffolded & Progressive Resources grow with the child — from simple 3×3 puzzles to 9×9 challenges, so every learner can succeed at their own pace.

Additional biographical information

I’m a computer engineer by training and a passionate educator at heart. My journey in teaching — from kindergarten to university students — has shown me one powerful truth: math and logic can be joyful for everyone, no matter their age or confidence level. Inspired by mental arithmetic (abacus) methods and programming logic, I created FingerFun Math to help children see numbers not as scary symbols, but as friendly patterns they can count, draw, and play with — using their own hands. My background in computer science helps me design resources that are not only fun but also structured, progressive, and aligned with how children actually learn. Every puzzle is built with a logical flow — just like coding, but with more colors and smiles! 😊 When I’m not designing worksheets, I enjoy: Teaching kids how “algorithms” can be like finger games Creating “Finger Characters” with silly hats and superpowers 🎩✨ Finding new ways to make math visual, logical, and stress-free Thank you for visiting my store. Let’s make math fun, smart, and full of fingers! ✋🔢💛
