Experience

I am in my 5th year of teaching. I have had the pleasure of teaching 1st grade for all 5 years. LUCKY ME :) Within those years, like most elementary teachers, I've worked with ELL's, GT students, students battling dyslexia and Sped kiddos including students on the spectrum.

Teaching style

I believe in teaching real life scenarios as much as possible. Social skills should have their own daily time slot in elementary schools. I am very interested in extreme behavior techniques and I LOVE science. Each year I look forward most to giving the last DRA reading assessment to each child. I just adore that one on one celebration with them. I can't help but cry every year. First grade is amazing!
