I create 2 sentences each week from our list of spelling words (present and past lists). I score the dictation as one point for each word spelled correctly and one point for capital at the beginning and punctuation at the end. You could make a rubric and add on the bottom.
Do you use the whole brain rules in your classroom? If so, you might find these reflection sheets helpful for those students who need to practice the rules. The folder includes one sheet per rule. You can have your students simply copy the rule or have them write ways they could show that rule.
A weekly reading log template to be used for homework. It is common core aligned and offers a place for students to respond to reading. You can also leave comments and track AR points for the week.
