First Grade Krewe

The page focuses on the digraph ch. The students will have to read the words and determine which group each word belongs. The page can be used in whole group, small group, or workstations.

This packet takes the story the Three Little Pigs to the next level with common core. The pack includes several graphic organizers, worksheets, word wall, nonsense word game, retell cards, and writing templates that correlate with the common core ELA standards for first grade. The standards addressed in the packet are 1.RL.9, 1.RL.5, 1.RL6, 1.RL7, 1.RFS.3b, 1.W.1, and 1.W.3. The pack includes activities that can be used for whole group, small group, and literacy centers.

Fun Easter activity to review long and short vowels. Students will read the words on the eggs and place the eggs in the correct basket. There are recording pages for the students to complete. This would be great for a work station!

The file contains an oral reading assessment for the digraphs ch, sh, th, wh, and qu. The assessments correlate with the CCSS RF.1.3a to know the spelling correspondences for common consonant digraphs, RF.1.2d segment spoken single-syllable words into their complete sequence of individual sounds (phonemes), L.1.2e to spell untaught words phonetically.

The card game is a great way for your students to practice counting money. The cards can be used in whole group or small group. Print the cards on cardstock and laminate for durability.
