About the store
Hi there and welcome! I’m Mona. I’m a curriculum writer and creator of First Grade Schoolhouse. I help busy, hard-working teachers meet the needs of their students with fun + creative activities, and easy-to-use, quality resources. Motivating children to become lifelong learners thru engaging, effective, and fun classroom experiences was my overarching goal. I taught for over 30 years in grades that spanned kindergarten thru 6th grade. From my experience, I found how difficult and time-consuming it was to find, modify, and improve resources for the diverse needs of students. I believe that learning can be engaging and fun. This takes some creativity. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the expression on a child’s face when they understand a new concept and are excited to use a new skill or strategy that’s learned. If you can relate to this, then you’ve come to the right place. I’m here to support you with ideas, activities, and resources.
