First Thing's First I'm the Realest

This rubric is for teachers to help assess student understanding of Main Idea and Supporting Details in leveled Nonfiction texts. I would recommend using this rubric to grade student output on your favorite Main Idea/3 Details organizers.

Leaving town? No problem! Ask your sub to read aloud the book Red--A Crayon's Story and then have students complete this activity with a partner! This activity doubles as comprehension practice while developing social-emotional skills.

Need more Math grades than tri-weekly Chapter Tests? Have no fear! This quiz covers only the skills taught in First Grade's GoMath lesson 3.1-3.8. This student-friendly quiz can be read-aloud, completed independently, or even completed in small groups. Look for similar student-friendly quizzes on my page!

Front and back practice pages for Monday-Thursday with a Tier 1 option and Tier 2/3 option (added sentence stem support and sums to 10). Bonus Quiz at end with Tier 1 and Tier 2/3 format as well. Aligns with Unit 2 lessons 7/8 illustrated math. Best applied if CUBES strategy for decoding word problems has already been taught.

This exit slip is meant to be distributed to students during Word Detectives Session 1. Students are able to record their practice decoding words with one example provided from the strategy learned in Missions 1-4. This can be used as a grade both formally or informally. Enjoy!

This product is great for ALL students (ELs, general education, SpEd, etc) who need additional support with routines. Students can follow the left side of the chart when unpacking and the ride side for dismissal. This is most effective when printed in color on card-stock and taped to a student's desk!

Extra practice for students practicing drawing a model that represents addition and subtraction problems. There are Tier 1 practice pages and Tier 3 modified pages (numbers to 10 with ten frame). Also included is an at-home extension with checkboxes for easy correspondence.

This realistic fiction rubric is meant to grade 1 realistic fiction writing sample from a 3-part series; however, the rubric can still be utilized from just 1 writing sample. This rubric looks for punctuation, thoroughness, organization and use of transition words. This rubric is best utilized if sent to families at the beginning of the rubric and/or introduced to students in advance.

Attached are practice pages for applying the CUBES Word Problem strategy to addition and subtraction problems. Best utilized after explicit teaching of the CUBES strategy, ample teacher modeling time, and in collaboration with a key words anchor chart. Attached are Tier 1 practice pages (number to 20) and Tier 3 practice pages (sums/differences to 10) along with a Tier 1 & Tier 3 quiz.

Tier one practice pages for drawing mixed addition and subtraction pages to 20. There are 3 pages for Tier 1 learners and 3 pages for Tier 3 learners (differentiation being numbers 1-10 and ten frame support). Also attached is a homework doc for Tier 1 learners with checkboxes for easy parent communication. Great for helping mathematicians that need additional practice creating organized models.
