Ghost Addition Math Center

This activity is a great addition that can be used in the classroom in a variety of ways! This can be used in centers, as a fast finisher, morning tub activity, or a supplement to a math lesson! Students use a deck of cards or dice to start at the top ghost and continually add upon each sum with a new addend for each new ghost. Students work to get the ghosts back to the haunted house!

Students will count, sort, and graph jelly beans based on color. I had an egg hunt around the classroom and once students found an egg, they began their work with the jelly beans inside!

I also believe strongly in a holistic approach to teaching and am passionate about culturally responsive teaching and focusing on the whole child.
