Five Preps

This is the full curriculum I use for teaching Algebra 1. It contains all the TEKS and they are deconstructed for you with basic explanations. I print these out and hand them out first of the year, then we work through them together cutting and pasting in STAAR questions and examples from their books, then the kids have a complete study guide come STAAR time. It's also a great way to show growth, and easy for administrators doing walk throughs, you can show them the exact TEK you are working on.

This is a project I created for my middle school students. We work on it after STAAR and while waiting for scores, because it's a great way to release stress after cramming for the test. The kids get to be creative and design their own business, it's a fully 'self-guided' packet, that walks them through forming a business, calculating net and gross profit and overhead, as well as teaching them the basics of income tax! Full Study Guide filled with sample questions as well as STAAR advice. I send it home as homework about a month before STAAR for my students, also makes great activity in class. Fully in line with TEKS contains everything they need to know.

I updated my student workbook/TEKS plan for 2018-19 school year. This contains the FULL 8th Grade TEKS, with explanations, all chunked and translated for you and your students. I reorganized the TEKS so that it works the students through the year in a logical format with prerequisite skills. I use this workbook throughout the year and have the students cut and paste examples and STAAR questions into it.
