Atmosphere Broad Jump
Students learn the layers of the atmosphere while practicing their broad jumping skills. Download and put together this 6' broad jump chart which includes the layers of the atmosphere and a brief description of what is found at each level. Students will stand with their toes at the "earth" level and jump forward to see which level they can reach.

Christmas Trivia SmartBoard Activity
This is a very fun game to play on the SmartBoard. It is adaptable for any number of participants. You can play the game using the Smart Response clickers but they are not required. The game designed to use a koosh ball or bean bag to throw at the dancing reindeer to bring up a question. If you don't want to use this techniques students can touch the reindeer and the question will open.

Turkey Hunt Obstacle Course
Students on teams complete a ten station obstacle course. After each obstacle they attempt to throw a foam ball into a bucket in an effort to get rid of all of their balls. When they miss, they must add another ball to their supply. Lots of activity and good practice for throwing skills.

Famous Person Reveal
This is a creative alternative to writing reports about famous people your students are studying. Students research a person and find facts that help identify that person. After completing the activity they take turns trying to guess the identities of each of the chosen people.
This activity can be used for any lesson as a review. It is also fun to do for special holidays such as Black History Month, Women's History Month, Presidents Day, etc.

Turkey Hunt Trivia Game
A Smart Notebook Koosh Ball Game with Turkey and Thanksgiving trivia questions. Students throw a soft object, squashy soft bal bean bagl or beanie baby, at 25 turkeys. When hit, each turkey is linked to a trivia question. If the question is answered correctly a point is scored for the team or individual. This game is set up for use with LE Smart Response System Clickers.
