Flawless Wallace

I have my Master's in Classroom Leadership, Bachelor's in Elementary Education K-5 and a Special Education Endorsement K-6. I co-taught one year of Kindergarten and eight years of Third Grade. Additionally, I taught a number of grades through small group settings during my college career.

I hold a learner-centered philosophy. I believe that the classroom should be community-based and every student should feel like he/she belongs. A growth mind-set is essential to persistence in learning. I let my students know that it is okay to make mistakes and even as adults, we make mistakes too. With high expectations established, my students strive to be the best they can be at all times.

I started with preschool and went to a number of elementary schools. School was where I wanted to be more than home. Since I was young, I've wanted to be a teacher, to help students feel safe and provide them with a sense of belonging while learning what they can at school. It wasn't until 6th grade that I stayed in one town for the remainder of my K-12 school career and established myself & friends. After graduation, I pursued my interest of teaching at a university in that same town and have been here ever since. I now have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a Special Education endorsement. Currently, I am in graduate school, pursuing my Master's in Leadership in the Classroom.
