Hi, I am a lifelong educator. I am passionate about helping others to feel comfortable, competent, and enthusiastic about learning. My specialties include tutoring students in writing, reading comprehension, study skills, test preparation, and organizational habits. I have taught at the high school level for 27 years, all levels and all grades. I have created and taught several electives including journalism, broadcast journalism, and media ethics. Teaching style

I like to teach the whole individual, keeping in mind social-emotional learning. Usually, I give students interest surveys or questionnaires to learn more about them. I design instructional strategies, curriculum, and assessments based on common core standards, individuals' learning styles, and formative information.

My own education history

I have a bachelor's degree in English, a master's degree in Secondary Education, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership.
