About the store

Experience

I am a secondary science educator currently uploading resources that worked well for me and developing resources I wish I had as a classroom teacher. I specialize in designing resources that are flexible to be both digital and printable. Teacher favorites are self-grading Google Form assignments, lessons and labs with responsive feedback--which helps foster confidence and ownership in student learning.

Teaching style

My teaching style involves using a combination of inquiry-based learning methods, the 5 E model, including NGSS language, and the Science and Engineering Practices in content. My resources are typically designed in Google, flexible for both digital and in-class learning and multimodal to reach all learners. You may notice an emphasis in scientific modeling, metacognitive learning, creativity, outside-the-box thinking, and helping students explore various note-taking strategies.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I helped design our district's online science curriculum for distance learning during COVID and took on multiple projects within my school to effectively use technology. I also developed a universal hall pass system to monitor student activity using Google Forms and Sheets.

My own education history

BA - Secondary Science Education. Certification Areas: 5-9 Science and 9-12 Biology. - Google Educator Level 2 - Easel Certified Seller

Additional biographical information

I am a problem-solving, pragmatic scientist that shares my love for all the nerdy things with my husband and two sons. To tap into my own creative flow, (you guessed it) I enjoy designing science learning resources! :) I thrive on the process of turning a "lesson epiphany" into a tangible resource that other educators can benefit from.
