About the store
I am a secondary science educator currently uploading resources that worked well for me and developing resources I wish I had as a classroom teacher. I specialize in designing resources that are flexible to be both digital and printable. Teacher favorites are self-grading Google Form assignments, lessons and labs with responsive feedback--which helps foster confidence and ownership in student learning.

Gravity FORCE PhET Lab | Google Forms + Lab Guides + CER | LAB RESOURCE BUNDLE

The RESOURCE BUNDLE is perfect for those who seek flexibility in resource delivery for accommodations or hybrid teaching. The google form assignment is a self grading, guided virtual lab that explores the relationships of gravity, mass and distance using the simulation, Gravity Force Lab: Basics by PhET (NGSS PS2-4). Students follow step-by-step instructions in the google form while tinkering with the simulation, manipulating the variables and observing, recording and graphing data for what hap

CER Lesson: Are Cats Liquid? | Evidence Claim Reasoning | Interactive Slides

Intrigue students with this scientific argumentation CER exercise using a fun topic-- cats! These interactive slides are ready to go to teach students how to write a CER (or in this case, ECR). Graphic organizers in the slides scaffold students in the step-by-step process of writing a CER using NGSS language. This activity is great for learning about states of matter, phase changes, as a back-to-school CER exercise, or to just bust out of your back pocket whenever there is extra time for student

Gravity FORCE PhET Lab | Complete 5E Interactive Lab Guide + CER | DUO BUNDLE

This DUO BUNDLE includes both an interactive digital and printable virtual lab guide and CER for students to explore the relationships of gravity, mass and distance using the simulation, Gravity Force Lab: Basics by PhET (NGSS PS2-4). Students follow instructions in the Lab Guide while tinkering with the simulation, manipulating the variables and observing what happens as they increase or decrease mass and distance to see how it affects the force of gravity between two bodies. Students collect

Claim Evidence Reasoning CER | Checklist Format Scoring Guide

This is a sample Claim Evidence and Reasoning checklist Scoring guide that is simple and easy to use. It is part of the Inquiry Lab Claim, Evidence & Reasoning handout --An easy to use resource every science teacher should have in their NGSS toolkit! The scoring guide / rubric (included in this sample) is specifically designed to be a simple 12-point yes/no checklist with little room for grey area ( because I've spent my fair share of time on weekends grading labs). Did the student complete the

Experience

I am a secondary science educator currently uploading resources that worked well for me and developing resources I wish I had as a classroom teacher. I specialize in designing resources that are flexible to be both digital and printable. Teacher favorites are self-grading Google Form assignments, lessons and labs with responsive feedback--which helps foster confidence and ownership in student learning.

Teaching style

My teaching style involves using a combination of inquiry-based learning methods, the 5 E model, including NGSS language, and the Science and Engineering Practices in content. My resources are typically designed in Google, flexible for both digital and in-class learning and multimodal to reach all learners. You may notice an emphasis in scientific modeling, metacognitive learning, creativity, outside-the-box thinking, and helping students explore various note-taking strategies.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I helped design our district's online science curriculum for distance learning during COVID and took on multiple projects within my school to effectively use technology. I also developed a universal hall pass system to monitor student activity using Google Forms and Sheets.

My own education history

BA - Secondary Science Education. Certification Areas: 5-9 Science and 9-12 Biology. - Google Educator Level 2 - Easel Certified Seller

Additional biographical information

I am a problem-solving, pragmatic scientist that shares my love for all the nerdy things with my husband and two sons. To tap into my own creative flow, (you guessed it) I enjoy designing science learning resources! :) I thrive on the process of turning a "lesson epiphany" into a tangible resource that other educators can benefit from.
