Experience

Teaching style

I believe that my students excel academically when they are nurtured and confident in their skills and abilities. My goal as a world language educator is to instill in my students a love and appreciation for other cultures, a grit and tenacious work ethic to master language skills, and a globally minded perspective that impels action in changing the world for the better. In the classroom, I emphasize a communicative and community-oriented approach. We learn language through conversational skills, idioms, songs, and elements of culture. I may teach a grammatical point but then we use that grammar or vocabulary in a meaningful, contextual way.
