Number of the day (daily math warm-up)
This “number of the day” daily math warm-up is a great activity to use daily, whole-class or independently. Use however you wish, but I recommend putting it in a plastic sleeve inside students’ binders, so they can practice this daily math warm-up with a dry-erase marker. You only need 1 copy for each student that will last all year if kept in a protector sheet (and wipe off their writing each day). Balanced. I have high expectations, but know that students learn more when they enjoy it, so I make it fun too! I'm an organized planner, but know that teaching is all about adapting and being flexible to change.
