Flying into Second

This practice page offers your students the opportunity to practice the order of the alphabet and writing the letters. Page 1 has vibrant flowers that students write the letters on in order to complete the alphabet. Page 2 offers a black and white version of the practice page.

Students will match six shape descriptions to their two-dimensional shapes. Students only need to write in a number, but you could also have them write the shape names for a challenge. An answer key is provided.

This file includes two Dolche sight words word searches. Each word search contains 20 pre-primer Dolche sight words for students to find. There is also a key for each word search.

Students will love this activity while applying their knowledge of properties of solid matter! Students will pick a solid object in your classroom. They then draw a picture of this object and fill out the information for its properties. Properties included are texture, color, shape, flexibility, and hardness. Print and laminate each pumpkin for use year after year. Students will practice adding single-digit numbers (0-10) found in the eyes of the jack-o’-lantern and write their sum in the mouth of the jack-o’-lantern.
