Flying into Second

Students will match six shape descriptions to their two-dimensional shapes. Students only need to write in a number, but you could also have them write the shape names for a challenge. An answer key is provided.

Print and laminate each pumpkin for use year after year. Students will practice adding single-digit numbers (0-10) found in the eyes of the jack-o’-lantern and write their sum in the mouth of the jack-o’-lantern. I encourage my students to draw a picture on the body of the jack-o-lantern if they need to. This a game used to practice addition fluency. I call it "Fill the Pumpkin Patch".
