This is a unique way to practice classifying and sorting common and proper nouns. The students will get to make lists for a beach trip, a Christmas wish list, and then sort a back to school list. This comes with one camping trip example. The students will make a packing list for the beach. The list must include common and proper nouns. I made an assessment for my fourth grade class. This goes along with our fourth grade standards. I used a variety of ways to assess the students knowledge. Some are higher level questions while other are lower level questions. There's a Venn-Diagram, an extended response question, a true and false section, and a simple circle or discard images section. This provides a variety for the different ability levels that I teach.

I wanted to tie some of the 4th grade Social Studies content in with nouns practice. I needed my students to have a spiral review of noun identification, common and proper nouns, singular and plural nouns, as well as singular possessive and plural possessive nouns. As I am reviewing and allowing them to have individual practice, I am pleased to know that they are reading/reviewing SS content at the same time. (colonial America, Benjamin Franklin, etc.)

I wanted a book report form for my 4th graders. I created one that allowed them to visualize, illustrate, write a recommendation, and even interview the main character. I believe this will be a FUN culmination activity for my class. Hope that helps someone else too!

I created this product in order to do a figurative language review with my fourth graders. They love figurative language. The beginning pages explain and give examples of: simile, metaphor, hyperbole, alliteration, idioms, and personification. There are practice worksheets too! Your students will have the opportunity to read a story and underline the examples of figurative language. There's a matching sheet. Students can take a "blah" sentence and spice it up!

This is a book report that should interest our students. Our children love social media. They are experts with technology. I wanted to integrate their love for technology and still get a good old-fashioned book report out of them. I believe upper elementary and middle-school aged children will enjoy this book report. I am using this with my Gifted and Talented students.
