This lesson practices ordering a list of items from most general to most specific. After each practice slide is an answer slide.

Play a review game with your class, going over similes and metaphors. First two slides review what each is, and some examples. The remaining slides have a sentence, and students need to decide if it is a simile or a metaphor. Each is labeled with a reminder (similes "like and as", metaphors "something is"). Last two slides have students design their own !
