About the store

Experience

My nursing background includess 18 years as a Registered Nurse, with clinical experience in ICU/stepdown, labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum care, emergency triage, operating room and PACU care, and high-risk pregnancy management in maternal-fetal medicine. The content in this store was created while teaching in a high school Career & Technical Education (CTE) Pre-Nursing program. Instructional focus areas include Medical Terminology with integrated Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology, and CNA-aligned content. These instructional materials were developed for real classroom use and created independently with limited pre-existing resources. Each slide deck reflects countless hours of work to support daily lesson instruction, reinforce essential concepts, and provide students with an accessible reference beyond the textbook.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on making healthcare concepts clear, engaging, and easier for students to understand beyond the textbook. The framework of the slides assited me in pacing my lesson and progression of content. Many of my students had limited experience with lessons that began with instructional slides before moving into hands-on learning, so I worked to make that structure clear, supportive, and easy to follow. Lessons were introduced with a structured overview and broken into manageable parts to support understanding and retention. I often paired direct instruction with labs, activities, team or table collaboration, student-led teaching or research, games, interactive review, and brain breaks to keep students engaged. Students were given access to the slide decks in Google Classroom for review and reference, and their feedback reflected appreciation for having content available in another format beyond the textbook. I also used printed slide copies for note-taking and to help differentiate instruction for a range of learning styles. The resources in this store reflect the instructional backbone of that approach. These slide decks were created to support daily lesson delivery, reinforce key concepts, and provide students with an additional reference beyond the textbook. They are not full lesson plans or worksheet-based units, but they are designed to support strong classroom instruction and pair easily with a teacher’s own activities and assignments.
