This Gist checklist is a way to make sure students are stopping and checking for understanding as they are reading. The checklist breaks down each of the steps in order for the students to use the checklists independently in order to remind them what to do while they are reading in order to self-check for understanding.

A variety of single step word problems. This page includes problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This is a great review tool, or as practice identifying key words in order to decide which operation should be used to solve.

This editable ballot allows students vote on what the classroom prize should be. There are four suggested prizes and a description of each of them on the download. I always love providing an explanations for the students so that they know exactly what each prize means.
