Students will practice research skills while writing this argumentative piece about their favorite animal. Students must use facts and evidence to support their claim about their favorite animal.
Guided reading questions for each chapter. Each question identifies the reading skill it targets. Two mini projects included to target sequencing and summarizing.
Use these bookmarks to help students ask questions while they read. Question stems are aligned to Bloom's Taxonomy of Questioning. Print each bookmark on a different colored paper. Punch a hole in each bookmark and place on a ring. Students can ask themselves questions or partners questions with these question stems.
