Fourth Up North

This presentation walks students through how to match word problems to algebraic equations. It starts with reviewing the description of each of the four operations. From there, students are given examples of different word problems and must match the correct equation along with being given equations and must match a word problem to it.

This activity helps students collect data and create a bar graph to represent their data. First, students determine a question to ask. From there, students work to collect data and create a bar graph to represent their data. Later on, students are given a bar graph and answer questions about the bar graph.
