This PowerPoint is a great way to learn a little about your students on the first day of school. The students answer questions and their answers help them design their name tag. All you need to provide them with is a piece of paper and some crayons.
Take an in-depth look at the time periods of Earth's history. This partner activity has students research about a specific period of Earth's history and create an interactive lapbook. When finished, your class can go on a gallery walk (document included) to learn about each time period.
I have done this project several times with my 8th graders and they absolutely love it!
This is a great project that incorporates research skills, writing and speaking.
Each child will research an assigned president, write a brief biography, record themselves reading the biography, and link it to a QR code.
