I taught for 28 years, 8 years in a private school and 20 years in the public school environment. In my teaching journey, I have taught Art Education to grades K to 5, 4th grade, and 1st grade. A few of the years in 1st grade were in a literacy intervention class which I enjoyed immensely. 1st grade has been the most rewarding experience of my career.

Counting and one to one correspondence will improve with this fun game! Kiddos can match gold coins to the treasure chest with the corresponding number and number word.Beginning learners can start with numbers 1 to 5. Add in more numbers as the skill becomes secure.
This can be used as an independent assessment to determine kiddos ability to count, show one to one correspondence or demonstrate the ability to put numbers in the correct order.

I am dual certified with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Elementary Education and Art Education. I am a Hard of Hearing adult. I have taken courses in American Sign Language which enables me to bring another dimension to my classroom and my life.
Additional biographical information
I currently live in Toms River, NJ. My husband passed away suddenly in 2013. We were married for 40 years. He was my high school sweetheart and remains my forever love. We have two awesome children with wonderful spouses. We are the proud grandparents of four beautiful grandchildren!
