I created this to help my students practice writing complete sentences. This will improve their comprehension and writing skills.

Students can practice solving single-step math problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The directions include the CUBES problem solving strategy to ensure comprehension.

This was created for small group remediation, but could be used as a formative assessment. Students fill in the acronym FANBOYS and edit the sentences for correct comma usage.

This packet includes the original Restating Questions Practice worksheet, a second version of that worksheet, and two more that are reverse practice (students are given the answer and must write the question).

This worksheet uses the CUBES problem solving method. There are a few problems require more than one step, but are easy so it could be a good introduction to multi-step problems.

This worksheet is to help students identify key words in math word problems in order to choose the best operation for the solution.

Need to make peer-editing more exciting? Look no further! I created this activity for a narrative writing assignment which focused on incorporating specific literary elements. Students will mark each element in a specific color. This sheet engages the editor by requiring he/she to provide examples of better word choice, state details from the text, and share constructive criticism for the writer.

These are basic multi-operation word problems that include finding change, arranging fractions, and understanding the meaning of half. I've based these off of the needs of my fourth and fifth graders that come to me for extra help. This also includes an answer sheet. Hope you enjoy!

This includes two sheets. The first sheet allows students to practice multiplying four-digit numbers by single and double-digit numbers. The second sheet has two word problems, but it set up to resemble the PARCC test. This gives students practice with formulating a well-written explanation of how to find the correct answer. I've also included answer sheets for both. Enjoy!

With this worksheet, students get the opportunity to write word problems for their fellow classmates. There is room for eight problems total (two addition, two subtraction, two multiplication, and two division).
