Experience
I have taught pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade. I will be taking on a new adventure this year by teaching Kindergarten through Second Grade Math.
Teaching style
Structured Chaos!!! I LOVE procedures. I LOVE active learning. My room is active and not at all quiet. My students move from learning area to learning area discussing what they know and explaining their thinking to others. We start the year slow and I explicitly teach procedures. We practice procedures and then we practice them again. Once the students know the expectations and procedures, they have the tools to take control of their learning.
My own education history
I have a Masters of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology from NOVA Southeastern University. I completed my undergraduate work in Ohio at Kent State University. There, I received a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Technology.
