This is an activity I do to start a discussion and provide a wider perspective for students as part of our unit on Living with Disability in which we read the play The Miracle Worker by William Gibson. This activity builds on students' understanding of the theme of the play and asks them to connect to current understandings of the Blind and Deaf communities. Students have choice, they choose 3 videos to watch and then relate them to the text. This is a great activity for stations or for distance

This is a guided organizer for use with more intermediate to advanced students. I use this when my students are listening to TEDTalks or PBS. It provides them with scaffolding for note-taking as well as improving their listening.

They end with an exclamation point. (!) Read each sentence. Write the answer that shows the correct ending punctuation mark.
