Engage students in a fun and persuasive writing activity. Students are prompted with the idea that they are now turkeys and they are trying to convince the local grocery store owner to NOT sell them and their family this Thanksgiving. Students walk through the various parts of the writing process to craft their persuasive writing piece. Included is: writing prompt, thinking map, drafting template, drafting paper (primary and traditional) and publishing paper (primary and traditional).

This product is designed to help educators stay on task during guided reading. By using this templet, teachers can specifically write down notes that are associated with students as far as their strengths and weaknesses are.
