What is the true cost of smoking over a typical smoker's lifetime in the U.S.? Use this interactive excel file and find out. You can change variables such as cost per pack, inflation rate, packs smoked per day etc. Also, the calculations assumes you bank the money you save, so it shows how much a prudent person could actually save. Excellent for showing compound interest and the true cost of smoking.

This is an excel file where student enter the answer to a math problem without using a calculator... they estimate the answer by rounding off. It they are withing about 25% of the correct answer, they are scored correctly. Useful to help students use their own brainpower.
