Just like the "Scientific Process", understanding the "Engineering Design Process" is an essential skill K5 students will need to use and understanding when designing technology that solves a problem. The sheets are setup to glued into "Engineering Notebooks" or cut apart as students or (second language learners) begin to use and understanding the EDP.

Technology is a hard concept for elementary students to understand. Use the sheet to have students make observations of simple everyday technology, identify parts of the technology, and materials in that make up the technology. Identify the "Defining Problem" the technology solves.
