Teaching style

My approach is interactive, student-centered, and confidence-driven. I focus on breaking down complex communication skills into fun, hands-on activities that keep students engaged. Whether it’s persuasive speaking, storytelling, or debate, my goal is to help learners step outside their comfort zones and discover their voice in a supportive environment.

Awards & shining teacher moments

As a competitive debater, I have won national level awards, including championing Harvard University’s Forensics Tournament. I have also won several awards in other college invitationals, model UN conferences and FBLA conferences. But my shining moments go beyond trophies. Watching students who once felt nervous about speaking deliver their first confident argument or speech has been the most rewarding part of my journey.

My own education history

I attend a STEM-focused high school in Washington State, where I balance rigorous academics with my passion for communication, economics, and leadership. Alongside coursework, I have been deeply involved in debate, Model UN, and FBLA, experiences that continually shape how I design resources for FreeSpeak.
