If you put a square in one part, then you need to put a square in the other 7 sections. Students as young as 4 or 5 can get the hang of it very quickly, and once they color them in, they are often delighted to have created such pleasing designs all by themselves. About the store

Experience

I am a graphic designer/artist/educator who started creating curricula over 15 years ago. I spend a couple of days a week working with young students at a learning center and testing my worksheets on my students. They help me improve them, and sometimes we develop new ideas together.

Teaching style

Positive reinforcement is the key to everything I do. I want my students to succeed and I try to place them in a position to do so. I also listen and try to understand the strengths of each student. This requires me to be in the moment by meeting them at their skill level as I try to nudge them forward, rather than having them try to meet a standard that they may, or may not, be ready to attain.

My own education history

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan.
