This is a complete teaching set for the book Millions by Frank Cottrell-Boyce. It includes question handouts for each chapter as well as a page of 7 different project choices for students to choose from.
This activity is meant to be completed at the start of a Great Depression Inquiry unit. Students will have had a BRIEF introduction to the Depression but will use this gallery walk to create more questions for an inquiry project. First, I use a quick depression simulation then I show a short video clip that discusses the causes of the Depression.
You don't have to use this product in conjunction with an inquiry project however. You can use it as an anticipation activity.
The inquiry project
This notebook has activities for the entire novel including vocabulary, graphic organizers, and reading comprehension questions. This notebook is more advanced than my other notebook. I hand out both through Google Classroom to differentiate the instruction. All the pages are formatted to print on a regular size piece of paper as well so the notebook can be printed if laptop access isn't available.
