A great independent assignment that helps students understand point of view! I made this worksheet as a homework assignment when we started learning about perspective and POV. If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be? What would you do as this animal? The file is a Microsoft Word document so that you can edit the sheet and personalize it. (I left my name in the current worksheet, so please change this before using!)

It is important that my students understand not just how to read, but why they read! When we read, we are constantly using our thinking and reasoning to draw connections to the words on the page. This worksheet allows students to write down thoughts and connections that they make while reading a book. This is also a great way to brainstorm ideas!
