How to Visualize a Book with Firefighter Activities
Use the book, Firebears The Rescue Team By:Rhonda Greene, to teach students how to visualize a book! This is such a fun lesson and students love being the illustrator. I explain how good readers make a picture of what they are reading in their minds. Students love to compare their illustrations to the ones in the book. Tons of firefighter activities included! Students will write letters to firefighters, read a short book, work on math centers, graphs, and more!

Valentine's Day- Clip Cards- Syllables, Sounds, Addition, and Subraction
These clip cards are a great way to review and a fun Valentine's Day theme. Give students a clothes pin and a set of cards and that is all they need! You can also just have students point to the right answer if you do not want to use clothes pins.
There are four cards on each page. Just cut them out along the darker black line.
There are 16 cards in each set.
Set 1: Syllables- Students will use a clothes pin to clip the number of syllables in each word.

Experience
I have been teaching primary grade levels for 14 years.
Teaching style
I differentiate my instruction for every lesson in my classroom. I teach most lessons in a small group format so that students have instruction at their exact level. I also love writing my lessons to be hands-on, student-directed, engaging, and tons multiple response strategies.

I have my Bachelors in Psychology and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
Additional biographical information
I teach for the "light bulb" moments! I love when students are working so hard to understand a concept and then that moment comes when they master the phonics skill or solve an addition problem on their own.
