This video models the pinch pot and coil technique to create a clay cupcake. This project is part of a Wayne Thiebaud inspired unit which is available in a bundle in my store. Students really enjoy this project. I use Laguna EM330 clay but I imagine air dry clay would work too.

This is my 10th year teaching.

Teaching style

I do my best to model projects using vocabulary and anticipating misconceptions I've seen over the years. Often I reference anchor charts and add elements that make the videos more interesting for students.
